Schuckman Realty Represents Landlord in Goddard School Lease at 1410 Northern Blvd., Manhasset

Schuckman Realty Inc. is pleased to announce that it represented the landlord in the leasing transaction that will bring a new Goddard School location to 1410 Northern Blvd. in Manhasset, New York. Kenneth Schuckman and Jessica Vilmenay of Schuckman Realty represented the landlord in the deal, which will convert a former Staples-occupied space into a purpose-built early childhood education and daycare center.

The Manhasset location is one of three new Goddard School facilities planned for Long Island, alongside sister campuses in Roslyn and Garden City. All three are part of a broader Long Island expansion for the King of Prussia, Pennsylvania-headquartered franchise, which currently operates more than 680 locations across the United States, including two existing Long Island schools in Stony Brook and North Bellmore.

The Manhasset school will occupy approximately 13,000 square feet within the roughly 20,000-square-foot space vacated by a Staples office supply store, with construction expected to begin this fall. Once complete, the facility is projected to serve approximately 200 students with a staff of about 50, and is targeted to open in fall 2027 alongside the Garden City location.

“Manhasset is exactly the kind of established, high-demand community where a premium early childhood education operator like Goddard should be — strong household density, excellent schools, and very little competing product of this quality.”

A Long Island Expansion Years in the Making

Laura Kulkarni, the New Jersey-based franchisee bringing Goddard to Long Island, already operates three Goddard Schools in New Jersey, the first of which opened in 2018. Kulkarni has cited her personal mission to help children become confident, capable communicators as a driving force behind the Long Island expansion, and noted that it’s possible kindergarten will be offered at the Long Island campuses as the schools mature.

Founded in 1988, The Goddard School is known for its Wonder of Learning curriculum, an exclusive early education program built around expert-informed, data-driven child development practices designed to build critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a lifelong love of learning in children ages six weeks to six years.
