Ryan Adhami of Schuckman Realty successfully completed a new lease transaction on behalf of Lungi, a restaurant concept taking occupancy at 31-19 Newton Avenue in Astoria, Queens. The space totals 7,500 square feet.
Adhami represented the tenant in the deal, negotiating on behalf of Lungi as it establishes its presence in one of Queens’ most vibrant dining corridors. The landlord, Phoenix Management 23, was represented by James Famularo, Jacob Mayer, and Marcelo Demoraes of Meridian Retail Leasing.
Lungi is a Michelin Bib Gourmand-recognized restaurant helmed by chef and co-owner Albin Vincent, who brings the bold, soulful flavors of Sri Lankan home cooking and South Indian street food to New York City. The Astoria location will be the concept’s first expansion beyond its original Upper East Side home.
Astoria is one of the most sought-after restaurant markets in Queens, known for its dense residential base, walkable streets, and a culturally diverse dining scene that consistently supports ambitious food concepts.
