Kenneth Schuckman of Schuckman Realty Takes Top Retail Broker and Top Retail Sale Honoree Awards at Long Island Business News Real Estate, Architecture & Engineering Awards 2022

Westbury, NY; Kenneth Schuckman of Schuckman Realty was awarded Top Retail Broker and Top Retail Sale by Long Island Business News at their Real Estate, Architecture & Engineering Awards for 2022.

Among the dozens of tenants Schuckman Realty represents, Ken is credited with completing deals with LIDL Supermarkets in Riverhead, West Babylon, Commack, Deer Park, Plainview, Oakdale, Garden City Park, and Syosset, with more locations coming soon.

Regarding retail leasing. In 2021, Kenneth along with his leasing team have leased space to national retailers such as Burlington (33,645 SF) and Five Below (10,000 SF) in the Expressway Plaza Shopping Center. Schuckman’s Long Island leasing team is also currently leasing space in the Morton Village Shopping Center in Plainview, The Point at Garden city Park, the Valley Stream Shopping Center, Port Washington Commons, Captree Shopping Center, Sunrise Plaza in Lindenhurst, and New Village at Patchogue. Collectively Kenneth’s team represents over two million square feet of GLA at Long Island Shopping Centers.

Kenneth represented ownership in leasing negotiations with Whole Foods Market which opened a 57,000 SF store on East Gate Boulevard in Westbury, the center also includes a pad site which was filled by his team and features Bond Vet and HSBC. In Q1 2022, the center was sold for $65.3M.

In Q4 2021 Kenneth Schuckman represented the seller in the sale of 1.9 acres of land behind the Westbury Whole Foods for $9.7M in Garden City, which was a record per acre price at the time. The sale was to online car retailer Carvana, who pursued the opportunity along the Meadowbrook Parkway because of its high visibility.

Also, in 2021 Kenneth represented ownership in brining National Veterinary Associates, an alliance of 24-hour National Animal Hospitals to Rockville Centre, where they will occupy a 10,000 SF freestanding building one block North of the Rockville Centre LIRR Station.

Finally, in late 2021 Kenneth and his partner Aaron Malinsky facilitated the sale of a $130M portfolio of four grocery anchored shopping centers on Long Island which closed in Q1 2022. At the time it was a record price and cap rate for a portfolio of shopping centers on Long Island. Collectively, the properties are 92% leased and Kenneth’s team at Schuckman Realty is exclusively leasing any remaining space in the centers, which include The Valley Stream Shopping Center, The East Meadow Mall, Eastport Plaza in Eastport and Wading River Commons.

Kenneth is also involved in civic activity as the Chairman of the Board of the Congregation of Aish Kodesh, he is on the advisory board of the Sy Syms School of Business, and he is also on the board of Shulamith School for Girls.
